It's been quite a week up here in Shetland for the northern lights! Monday night was the most spectacular, flashes and sheets of green light.

Got up to the news that the rest of the United Kingdom had been battered by the worst storms in ten years. I did take the liberty of making sure everything was battened down yesterday, but the one thing that I wasn’t worried about was my fence.

Had the pleasure of finding myself in Ascot. It was good to see the town again and to have a look around the racetrack.

Had a nice meal and some good conversation and a catch up. It was raining when we decided to head home, their decking was extremely slippy and I lost my footing more than once.
