Lovely Winter's Day
After Up Helly Aa, our viking fire festival, last week, we can look forward to the begining of winter's end. After a weekend of poor weather, today was beautiful... calm, blue skies and dry...
On such a day, it wasn't difficult to spend the day in the garden. Getting ready for spring and the setting of the vegtables and flowers. There will doubtless be a few rough days before we say 'goodbye' to winter... but today was great, made a start to the 'voar' work and re-charged the batteries.
The buds on the willows, sycamores, flowering current and fuschias reminded me that I should be thankful for the shelter of the Duralocak fence.
