Got up to the news that the rest of the United Kingdom had been battered by the worst storms in ten years. I did take the liberty of making sure everything was battened down yesterday, but the one thing that I wasn’t worried about was my fence.
We didn’t suffer to badly in the storm, but it’s safe to say that Shetland generally gets the ‘once every ten year’ storm several times every winter. Our maintenance free plastic fence posts and panels have stood the storms for four years now. I worry about losing slates from my roof, but I sleep easy about my fence.
